HillyGoat Camps
HiIlyGoat + Elevation Everest Run Retreat
About
Whether you’re training for the Elevation Everest race, looking for a long weekend away, wanting to connect with a genuine community, or hoping to improve your ability to run uphill at altitude, this is the camp for you. With a base level of fitness, just about any athlete can benefit from all this camp has to offer…even if you’re completely new to the trails!
Our goal is to combine training, community, and education. In addition to meeting great new people and going on gorgeous trail runs, you can look forward to strength and endurance training sessions led by professional athletes, workshops on nutrition and mindset techniques, and crucial recovery sessions using both hot and cold exposure.
All based in my hometown of Boulder, CO, we'll show you why this place is a hub for trail running. Whether you live in Colorado and frequent local trails or are based out of state and want to experience the magic of training in the Rockies, you’ll leave this camp a better athlete than when you arrived.
This HillyGoat camp in July is the exclusive training camp for Elevation Everest, to help prepare you for the altitude and vert on race day. I also am hosting a camp in September so check out those dates, too!
Is This Camp For Me?
This is the official Training Camp for the Elevation Everest Race. Trail runners of all abilities are welcome to the camp.
Pacers/Guides are provided for each run to accommodate varying paces; however, this is NOT a hiking camp. If you're still unsure about pace, please contact us directly and we can help you decide.
We would like you to arrive to camp ready to run 8-11 miles each day with roughly 1,000-2,000 feet of gain. If you can run 8+ miles at any pace (but specify run vs. hike) then you're in shape enough to participate in this camp.
Please do not show up injured out of respect for the other campers.
Our goal for each run is to show you some of the most beautiful trails around the Boulder area and to give you a dose of higher-altitude running. Boulder is situated at just over 5,400 feet, with the highest peaks around 8,500 feet, so this is the perfect camp for you if you are looking for some altitude training. You can expect varying terrain; rocky and smooth terrain, single-track, jaw-dropping views, and much more! It is hot in Colorado in July, so come with sunscreen!
What to Expect
A typical day will start with a healthy breakfast, a short pre-run meeting, and some light activation. Each run will be approximately 5-11 miles in length with anywhere between 1,000 - 2,500 feet of elevation gain over varied terrain. The afternoons will include a variety of activities including workshops, sightseeing, and relaxing at camp. Exciting evening activities will include special events, campfires, recovery, and group dinners.

About
Come run with me in Boulder, Colorado during the fall season. It’s a great time to experience the local trails of Boulder and also get up to the high country to see the leaves changing. We will run some classic trails in Boulder, including Green Mountain and the Boulder skyline. Plus, I’ll take you up to the high country for some of my favorite fall leaf-peeping routes.
